I want to emphasize right away that in this article I will not delve into technical issues. And I will express my opinion based on my own experience and the experience of my comrades in using bicycles from different manufacturers.
Pros and cons of foreign-made bicycles
Of course, bicycles from cube and other manufacturers from Germany or America are distinguished by their reliability and build quality.
If you buy such a bike in a store, then be sure that it will serve you for a long time and you will not know any problems with it.
A durable light frame, high-quality, mainly Shimanov's body kits will delight the owner with a good ride and smooth gear shifting.
Probably the disadvantage of such bicycles is the price. It is most often one and a half times higher than Russian analogues. Moreover, this price is absolutely justified. And if you have the opportunity to purchase such a bike, then do not skimp and you will not regret it.
Pros and cons of Russian-made bicycles.
The two most popular bicycle manufacturers in our country are Stels and Forward. They differ, purely by sensations, in that the forwards are more powerful, have more durable frames. Stealth, on the other hand, is lighter. Body kits, that is, switches, stars, etc. almost the same.
In general, about Russian bicycles, we can say that they differ little from foreign counterparts. And these are not just words, but a real fact. After all, almost all components for our "stealth" and "forwards" come from abroad.
As a result, there is only a frame from a Russian bicycle.
As for the frame, Russian manufacturers are losing here. Especially if the bike is bought for a child who loves to collect curbs, then be prepared for the fact that sooner or later the frame will simply crack.
If you are going to ride a bike to work, or use it as a tourist transport, then you can safely purchase a Russian-made bicycle. He won't let you down. And it costs a little cheaper than its foreign counterpart.
The only big drawback of Russian bicycles is the build quality. Most often they are collected with curved hands using curved tools. Therefore, before buying, carefully check the assembly, so that what should not stagger, does not stagger, and what should spin spinning. Otherwise, you will then prove for a long time that it was not you who broke, but bought this one.
In general, I would like to conclude that if you have money, then buy a better German cube. It will serve you for many years, and apart from regular lubrication, you will not have to change anything in it.
If the budget is limited, then feel free to buy a Russian bike. If you are not going to jump on it, then it will serve you perfectly for many years. Personally, after a long selection, I bought myself a hybrid stealth cross 170. I prefer a quiet ride over long distances, so it suited me perfectly.
