Step-by-step instruction

Spaghetti tomato sauce is a light vegetable addition to pasta that harmoniously complements the taste of the dish. Making a sauce of tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and garlic at home is not at all difficult if you follow the recommendations of the recipe from the photo below. Tomatoes must be taken ripe, deep red. Bell peppers need to be purchased green or yellow. Onions can be used both white and purple.

It is advisable to buy spaghetti from hard varieties, since they are not only healthier than ordinary ones, but after cooking they will have a denser structure.

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the tomato sauce and place in front of you on your work surface.

Step 2

Fill a saucepan with cold water so that the amount of liquid is twice the pasta. When the water boils, add salt, add a couple of drops of vegetable oil and add spaghetti. Cook according to the instructions on the package.

Remove the finished spaghetti from the saucepan using tongs and discard in a colander so that all excess moisture in the glass.

Step 4

Now you can make the sauce. Take a bell pepper, wash, cut off the tail and peel the fruit of seeds. Then cut the vegetable into small pieces of approximately the same size.

Peel the onions, rinse under running water and cut the vegetable into slices about the same size as the pepper.

Step 6

Rinse the tomatoes under running water, cut in half and remove the dense base of the stem. You can leave the skin on. Cut the vegetable into thin half rings.

Step 7

Place a skillet with high sides on the stove, pour in some vegetable oil. When it's hot, add the onion and sauté over medium heat until the vegetable is tender. Then add chopped tomatoes and peppers.

Step 8

Season with salt and pepper, add any seasonings you like and mix thoroughly. Simmer over low heat for 7-15 minutes, until vegetables are completely tender and tomatoes are juiced.

Delicious tomato spaghetti sauce cooked with tomatoes and garlic is ready. Put the spaghetti in a deep bowl, pour the sauce on top, garnish with fresh herbs such as basil and serve. Enjoy your meal!
