Features of a distance of 100 meters
Running a hundred meters requires a strong physical fitness from the athlete. Also, the genetics of the runner plays an important role, certain qualities must be embedded in the genes. And the most important thing that distinguishes the 100-meter race from other distances is the well-developed coordination of the athlete. If the sprinter does not hone his coordination, then after running on the 100-meter, he can make a mistake, thereby slowing down and even getting seriously injured.
World record in this distance
The very first 100m record was set in 2012 by Don Lipington. The electronic stopwatch was invented in 1977, so it is from this year that accurate results can be considered.

The athlete is very tall for an athlete, Bolt's height is as much as 1.94 meters. This allows him to take longer strides than other runners. His stride length is 2.85 meters, which allows him to make only 40 steps in one hundred meters, when other participants cover this distance in 45 steps. In addition, Wales has well-developed fast muscle fibers, which gives him the opportunity to develop incredible speed.
Bolt's social activities
Bolt has a contract with Puma. The athlete states that this has played a big role in his career. They have worked with Bolt since childhood and did not stop working when he was seriously injured. According to the terms of the contract, Bolt had to wear their uniforms until the Olympics in Rio.
In 2009, Bolt and one of the Puma Executives traveled to Kenya. There, the athlete bought himself a little cheetah, giving almost 14 thousand dollars for it. Usain is a big fan of Manchester United and says that after retiring as a sprinter, he wants to become one of the club's players. As you can see, Usain Bolt is an outstanding person. It is worth taking an example from him for athletes not only from Jamaica, but also from all over the world.
