In the crowd, a person with the correct posture always stands out favorably: a straightened back, straightened shoulder blades, a high chin and an easy step. This posture is an aesthetic appearance, an indicator of health.
Causes and consequences of poor posture
The most common cause of poor posture is weak back and core muscles. Also, congenital deformities of the spine, its acquired injuries and diseases, and much more are common.
Violation of the natural position of the body is accompanied by a displacement of internal organs. The heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys become vulnerable and do not work at full strength. Muscles also become weaker, do not perform their functions one hundred percent. With age, these changes become more pronounced.
People don't always pay attention to their posture. At work, slouching at the computer. At home, curled up on the couch, they watch TV or “hang out” on the Internet. The body gets used to this position, and it becomes more difficult to correct the situation every day.
Parents do not monitor the health of the spine of their children.
As statistics show, posture disorders occur in every 10th first grader and every 4th eleventh grader.
All these deviations can be prevented and corrected. This is easiest to do in childhood, when the body is most malleable. But in adulthood, changes are also possible.

Exercise to strengthen the spine
The main way to improve posture is physical education (if necessary, exercise therapy - here the doctor selects the exercises). Exercises to strengthen the spine are necessary daily.
One of them is pelvic rotation:
- Starting position - feet shoulder width apart. Hands on the sides.
- Rotate the pelvis alternately in each direction for 30 seconds.
- Keep your head straight, try not to move it.
- Choose the tempo yourself, it can be a little faster or slower.

This is done to warm up the hip region, lower back and back. Rotation should also be done as a warm-up before any strength or cardio workout.
Exercise improves the condition of the spine. For greater efficiency, physical training should be combined with swimming, walking, jogging or skiing.
