Fish stewed with vegetables is a dietary dish without oil, which turns out to be very tasty. For cooking, you can use any fish, but it is better to take sea fish, since there are fewer small bones in it. As for the side dish, any cereal that you like will do. How to prepare a dish at home? Check out a simple step-by-step recipe with a photo and start cooking.

Step 1

To shorten the cooking time, it is best to use fish fillets. Rinse the product under running water, cut into small pieces and place in a deep bowl. Season with a little salt, pepper to taste and set aside.

Step 2

Now you need to prepare the vegetables. Wash the bell peppers and hot peppers. Peel the purple onion and prepare five garlic cloves. Cut the bell pepper in half and remove the seeds, and then cut the vegetable into small cubes. The onion should be cut into half rings. And the garlic must be finely chopped with a knife. Cut hot peppers into slices and mix in a separate bowl with garlic.

Step 3

Place the skillet on the stove top and place the chopped onions and bell peppers in it. Now pour in some water. No oil is used in the recipe to minimize the calorie content of the finished dish. But if you wish, you can add a few drops of olive oil.

Step 4

Stir in the vegetables a little and when they turn golden, add hot peppers and garlic to the pan. Pour in some water and simmer vegetables over low heat.

Now add the tomato sauce. You can buy ready-made, or you can make it yourself from tomatoes.

Step 6

After the tomato sauce, add fat-free sour cream to the vegetables. Stir well and taste the vegetable mixture. If it seems that there is not enough salt, then add to taste. You can also add your favorite spices. Put out a little.

Now you need to put the sliced ​​fish fillets into the pan.

After that, take the herbs, wash and chop finely. Sprinkle the fish with chopped parsley and sprinkle with lime juice (can be substituted with lemon). Cover and simmer for another 30 minutes.

Advice! The fish container can be placed in a preheated oven. Thus, the dish will take a little longer to cook, but the taste of the dish will be more delicate.

After 30 minutes, the fish can be removed from the heat (or taken out of the oven) and served. Put the dish in portioned plates, decorate with parsley sprigs, slices of hot pepper. The dish turns out to be very tasty. As a side dish for fish, you can serve rice, buckwheat or quinoa.
