It has already become a good tradition to hold the international festival Golden Ring Ultra Trail in the city of Suzdal.
Plots from different countries of the world are gathered in the ancient city of the Vladimir region to participate in long-distance races of ten, thirty kilometers and for passing supermarathon distances of fifty and one hundred kilometers.
About the event
The competition is a cross-country run at different distances. Running on natural terrain occurs using elements of the cross type of jogging.
Location
For the third year in a row, the suburbs of the city of Suzdal have been selected for the event. The place was not chosen by chance, because it is truly the pearl of Ancient Russia, which has survived to this day. Participants have the opportunity to enjoy the historical beauty of ancient architecture.
The first distance was laid by an amateur athlete Mikhail Dolgiy. This competition site was also certified by him.

The event will start for the third time on July 23, 2017.

The routes and tracks of the race were laid by the organizer Mikhail Dolgiy. With the participation of sponsors and information support of partners, all the necessary permits were obtained from the leadership of the Vladimir region.

Trail running is still a fairly young sport. The main difference from regular marathons and half marathons is that the competition takes place in a natural environment and terrain.

- Physical health and stamina.

T100
- Running experience from six years.
- Passing a large number of marathon distances.
- The absence of diseases that can entail consequences in the form of a violation of vital signs in the process of participation.

Competition rules
- To participate in the race at a distance of T100-50-30 are allowed persons upon reaching the age of 18 at the time of the competition, with a medical certificate of admission to the competition or a triathlete's license.
- To cover a distance of 10 kilometers, persons who have reached the age of 15 years and older are admitted.
- Admission to participate in the competition is the obligatory presence of a start number.
To receive the Starter Pack and admission to participation, the organizers must personally provide the following package of documents:
- original identity card;
- original medical certificate;
- sign a document on the absence of claims against the organizers of the marathon in case of injury.
The starter package includes:
- start number;
- bracelet with an electronic chip;

- When registering, indicate valid personal data from an identity card.
- The participant who has filled out the registration form and paid the entrance fee. The registration fee is non-refundable when canceled.

Runner reviews
Of course, participation in such a large-scale project requires planning and appropriate preparation. I have been preparing for this race for a year. First, the goal was set to 50 km distance. But the lack of a running base affected, and I ran a 30 km distance.
We went to Suzdal with the whole family. My wife took part in the 10 km race. As a result, we got a lot of positive emotions and the vacation was wonderful.

I set for myself an ultra-goal of 100 kilometers. To say that it was difficult to say nothing. Moreover, I believed that I had little experience, and the results I always showed are not very high.
