Having decided to start running, any person has many questions, one of which is determining a place for jogging. To understand where you can run, you need to match your physical condition with the nature of the area that surrounds your home.
Running on asphalt, concrete, or paving slabs
For many, the only place they can jog is on the sidewalk or, at best, the promenade. Running on a hard surface is quite comfortable. Firstly, it is most often even, and secondly, there is no dirt even during or after rain.
Moreover, almost all world long-distance running competitions take place on an asphalt surface, so you should not be afraid of it. But you need to know a few rules regarding running on a hard surface.
1. Try to acquire special shoes with a shock-absorbing surface so as not to hit your feet.
2. Look carefully at your feet, as you can fall even out of the blue if you bump into any small pin or stone. A fall on the asphalt can have serious consequences.
3. Observe correct running technique, especially stance of legs... Otherwise, you can not only stretch your legs, but, with a "successful" combination of circumstances, even get a concussion.
4. Choose jogging locations with fewer cars for cleaner air. Especially it concerns hot summer, when the asphalt itself melts from the heat and gives off an unpleasant smell. If there is a promenade or park in the city, then it is best to run there. This is a fairly obvious rule, but many do not follow it, believing that while running, the lungs work so intensely that they are not afraid of harmful impurities in the air. This is far from the case.
Running on a dirt road
This kind of running can be called the most attractive workout. The relatively soft surface does not knock off the feet, while the surrounding trees, which most often include the primer, create a wonderful oxygen-rich atmosphere.
In small towns, you can run out to the outskirts and run around in the nearby woods. In metropolitan areas, it is best to find a park and run in it.

Rubber Stadium Running
Running on rubber is ideal for your feet. It is almost impossible to beat them on such a surface, and every step on a run will be enjoyable. But this run has its drawbacks. Firstly, such stadiums are most often packed with people, and you can't easily run there, especially if professional athletes are training there at that moment. And secondly, the monotony of the landscape can quickly get bored, and if you run 10 minutes every day in such a terrain, then after a couple of weeks you will want to change the landscape. Therefore, in any case, you will have to run out either on a dirt road or on asphalt.
Running on the sand
Running on the sand is very rewarding and very difficult at the same time. If you live near a large beach, you can run there. It is advisable to do this barefoot. Although you can wear sneakers. Running like this trains the foot well and will not let you get bored. However, you won't work out for a long time on such a surface, and you won't be able to find a long distance from the sand, so you will have to run in circles along the beach.
Running over bumps and rocks
Running on rocks and uneven ground is strongly discouraged. Especially it concerns beginners who just started running and have not yet had enough time to strengthen their legs. When running on uneven surfaces, you can easily twist your foot and then lie at home with a swollen leg for two weeks. And the stones will painfully dig into the sole and gradually "kill" your feet. In addition, they can be tripped or even slipped.
In any case, you will not get pleasure from such a run, but injury is easy.
Mixed surface running
The best, in terms of variety, is running on a mixed surface. That is, to run wherever they look. For example, you ran out of the house, ran along the sidewalk to the park, found a dirt track there, and ran along it. We ran out onto the asphalt, ran to the stadium, “rode” circles on it, then ran down the street, ran to the beach and then came back. This route will be the most interesting for running. Without really focusing on the quality of the surface, you can draw any paths for yourself at any distance. The main thing is to observe the correct running technique and include imagination.
