Often, after buying another sneaker, during the first run, the shoe rubs such calluses on the feet that it becomes simply impossible to run. And the most interesting thing is that it is impossible to choose sneakers that will immediately satisfy all the needs of a runner, some kind of world conspiracy against runners is direct.
However, this is not quite true. If you know some general rules when choosing shoes for running, then you can easily and not for a lot of money buy very good sneakers that will not "kill" your feet, but rather promote freedom of movement.
Consider the basic rules when choosing shoes for running
Running shoes should be lightweight
Depending on whether it is winter outside or summer, the weight of the shoes will differ, so like in winter it is best to take closed sneakers, and sneakers with a mesh surface in summer. However, even winter sneakers should be lightweight.
For summer, sneakers, each weighing no more than 200 grams, would be ideal. And for the winter 250 grams. The main thing is to understand that the leg in this case plays the role of a "shoulder". And even a 50-gram increase in shoe weight over long distances can have a huge impact on the result. The law of physics works here, based on the fact that the longer the shoulder of the force, the more the opposing force will have to be applied. In other words, you will not even notice 50 grams tied at the belt. But the 50 grams on the end of the leg, which acts as a long shoulder, will be felt very much.
If there are characteristics of the shoe, then the weight of the sneaker can be viewed there. If only the price tag is indicated, then determine the weight by taking the sneaker in your hand. It will be very easy to guess if the shoe is heavy or not. 200 grams is hardly felt in the hand. But 300 are already felt quite strongly.
Running shoes must have good cushioning
This does not mean that you need special shoes with a cushioning surface. It's just that the outsole of your running shoe should be pretty thick. Unlike sneakers, which are highly discouraged for running, sneakers usually have thicker and softer soles. Plus, in the middle of the shoe, it is desirable that there is a small notch, which provides additional cushioning and prevents flat feet. And for those who already have it, it reduces the likelihood of developing it.
Nowadays, sneakers with various outlandish soles have become popular. Shock absorbing plates, special shock absorbers built into the sole of the shoe, transparent inserts in the heel area.
All this in most cases gives only an increase in mass sneaker, and is of no use to running. These newfangled sneakers most often fall apart after a few runs, and their entire cushioning system either does not work at all, or stops working after a while. So there is no need to reinvent the wheel and it is worth buying a standard type of sneaker with a nice soft, lightweight and thick sole.
Buy running shoes in specialized stores.
If casual shoes can be bought in any store, if only they are comfortable, then it is advisable to buy running shoes in specialized stores.
In these stores there are entire shelves of shoes designed exclusively for running. And this does not mean that they will be overpriced. It is quite possible to buy, even during the crisis, good running shoes for summer running for 800 rubles, and for winter for 1200 rubles. Of course, they do not have great strength, but they do have comfort, lightness and a good shock-absorbing sole.
If you do not have a specialized store with running shoes in the city. So, look for sneakers in any other store, the main thing is that they have the characteristics that were described above. And if you're buying regular sneakers, don't chase the price. It makes sense to pay a lot for shoes only when you buy sneakers in a branded store of the same nike. Otherwise, price is rarely directly proportional to quality and convenience.
