The severity of the stage of a child's transition to secondary school is very clearly reflected in the physical education standards for grade 5. Even a quick glance at the number of disciplines makes it clear how complex the requirements for sports training have become.
The initial link is behind, which means that childhood is over - there are several years in high school and the final high classes ahead. Right now, parents should think about whether they want to develop sports skills in their child seriously - if you don't start today, the dreams of a great athlete will never come true.
What do fifth-graders do in physical training?
To understand what the student is doing at the present time, in which disciplines he is stronger, and where he is weaker, compare his results with the school standards for physical education for grade 5 according to the table.
First, let's list all the disciplines and note which ones are encountered for the first time in a student's life:
- Shuttle run - 4 rubles. 9 m each;
- Running at the following distances: 30 m, 60 m, 300 m, 1000 m, 2000 m (no time requirements), 1.5 km;
- Hanging pull-up for boys, low hanging bar for girls;
- Flexion and extension of the arms in a prone position;
- Raising the body from a supine position;
- Jumps: long jump, with a run, high with a run;
- Cross-country skiing - 1 km, 2 km (no time requirements);
- Mastering skiing techniques, dribbling a basketball;
- Jumping rope;
- Swimming.
Physical education standards for grade 5 for girls, of course, are slightly lower than for boys, but, in general, the indicators are also very difficult. A physical education lesson in grade 5 according to the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard is held 3 times a week.
As you can see, the fifth-grader will have to pass new distances (including long cross-country running and skiing), master the techniques of walking and braking on skis, work with a basketball, and improve performance in other exercises.
Pupil of grade 5 and TRP standards of grade 3
The TRP program is designed to massively revive children's and adult sports in Russia. Already today it is becoming an honor to wear an honorary badge from an organization, and it is prestigious to participate in tests. This greatly motivates young citizens of our country for sports development: regular training, preparation both in winter and in summer.
By age, a fifth-grader will have to pass tests of the "Ready for Labor and Defense" program in 3 steps (11-12 years old) - and the requirements there are serious. Much more difficult than the previous two levels.
This does not mean that a child should have sports categories, but without good sports training, alas, he cannot even master bronze. Of course, the standards for physical culture in grade 5 are also not easy, but the TRP Complex also includes new disciplines, for which the child will have to prepare separately.
Let's study the table of parameters and the list of exercises that must be performed to receive an honorary badge for passing the 3rd stage tests:
TRP standards table - stage 3 | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
- bronze badge | - silver badge | - gold badge |
Please note that out of 12 disciplines, the child must complete 4 compulsory and 8 optional. To receive a gold badge, he must successfully pass the standards for 8 tests, for silver or bronze - 7.
Does the school prepare for the TRP?
In order to honestly answer this question, it is necessary to compare the control standards for the 5th grade in physical education according to the Federal State Educational Standard for 2019 with the data of the tables of the TRP Complex of the 3rd stage.
Here are our conclusions:
- All indicators of TRP standards (without exception) in overlapping disciplines are more difficult than school standards for physical education for grade 5;
- Cross-country for 2 km, skiing for 2 km and swimming in “Ready for Labor and Defense” are evaluated according to temporary standards, while at school it is only important to withstand these disciplines;
- The tests of the Complex contain several new exercises for the child: shooting from an air rifle (2 types) and a hiking trip with a test of tourist skills (a route of at least 5 km);
As you can see, not every child will be able to pass the TRP standards without additional preparation, in addition to physical education lessons. That is why it is important to train systematically and on a regular basis in order to confidently increase your level in various areas of physical activity.
