Not so long ago, the words “Ready for Labor and Defense” seemed like a Soviet relic that today's youth can only learn from the stories of the older generation. However, after the signing by Russian President Vladimir Putin of a decree on the restoration of the TRP complex, it turned out that today this designation has not lost its vitality. On the contrary, many people try to pass the required standards in order to convince them of their dedication to sports and a healthy lifestyle. During the industry exposition Transport Week 2015, held in the CSKA track and field arena, the Ready for Labor and Defense Sports Festival was held under the leadership of the state company Avtodor and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
The guests of honor of the festival were Sergey Kelbakh, head of Avtodor, Roman Starovoit, head of Rosavtodor, as well as Maxim Sokolov, head of the transport department, and Nikolai Asaul, his deputy. In his greeting to those taking part in the festival, Sokolov tried to convince those present of the importance of restoring the TRP complex.
He believes this festival is an eloquent testimony to the fact that sport is gradually taking a significant place in everyone's life. Therefore, it is significant that ordinary builders, officials, and transport workers were able to enter sports arenas as a single and friendly team.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the head of the Ministry of Transport decided to set a personal example. Having changed his formal suit to a sports uniform, he went to take the TRP standards. By this he showed that the word "sport" is not an empty phrase for him either. All standards were passed successfully. Then Maxim Sokolov emphasized the value of such events.
In an interview with the "RG" correspondent, he noted that such events have a very positive effect on the maturation of individuality and the formation of a real fighting spirit, which is important for team building. After all, only jointly the problems that arise before us on the path of life are solved.
It is hardly worth expecting a future mass transition of those participating in the festival to sports, Sokolov noted. After all, no one can guarantee that one of them will do this over time. However, he is sure that the coming generation, starting with preparation for the delivery of the TRP standards, will later win medals at the Olympic Games.
One of the guests of the festival was the former athlete Alexander Tikhonov, who was also known for his Soviet biathlon, a multiple winner of world championships, and a four-time Olympic champion. He supported the opinion that the TRP standards are only the first step on the way to new heights.
Tikhonov said that exactly 53 years ago he was among the first to commission the TRP complex. Then he took part in four Olympiads and 13 world championships. He expressed his confidence that such festivals begin the path to big sport.
Russia needs healthy and strong citizens who can not only work successfully, but are ready to defend our great homeland at any moment. History testifies that they have repeatedly tried to conquer us, to make us bow our heads, but no one has yet succeeded. After all, we are citizens of our country and patriots.
Among the organizers were also Dynamo No. 33 and the Central Sports Club of the Russian financial authorities. Oleg Shabunevich, the head of these structures, noted the importance of the presence at the event of the top officials of the Ministry of Transport and famous athletes, giving their sporting achievements in the past, a vivid example to future generations.
Symbols have always been important. So, here was Alexander Tikhonov, one of the greatest athletes of the last century, the legendary biathlete, the first persons of the transport industry arrived. Without a doubt, this is a serious motive for those directly participating in the festival to do it themselves, to pass the TRP norms, and in the future to engage in sports training all the time, '' Shabunevich said. - The main thing is to spread a healthy lifestyle. At this festival, the guys were able to see and feel the support of their initiative from the country's leadership. This is especially important for young people living today.
