Servings Per Container: 6 Servings.

Step-by-step instruction

Oven baked potatoes with onions and garlic are a delicious dish that is easy to make at home. It is recommended to take young potatoes, as they cook faster. You can use both regular onions and purple onions to make the dish more tender. You can take any spices to choose from. Salted feta cheese is used for the presentation, but it can be substituted with any curd cheese. For cooking, you will need a baking dish with high sides, an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees, a step-by-step photo recipe and 15 minutes of time to prepare the ingredients.

Step 1

Collect all the necessary ingredients and turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.

Step 2

Take the garlic, separate the required number of cloves, peel them. Remove the dense white or greenish stem that is the source of the pungent odor from the middle of the garlic. Chop the garlic finely or grate on the shallow side of the grater.

Step 3

Wash and peel the young potatoes.

It is best to peel the vegetables, not scrape them, otherwise a thin gray film may remain, which will ruin the appearance of the dish.

Cut each potato into thin slices of roughly the same thickness so they cook evenly.

Step 4

Take onions and peel them. Rinse the vegetables under running water, and then cut into thin rings, about the same width as the potatoes.

Step 5

In a mortar or any other deep container, stir the olive oil with the garlic, kneading the vegetable so that the oil will taste and smell. Brush the bottom of a baking dish with garlic oil, and on top evenly place the slices of potatoes, salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6

Using a silicone brush, brush the potatoes evenly with the remaining oil and place a layer of onion rings on top. Send the form into an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees and bake for 40-45 minutes (until tender). If the onions start to burn on raw potatoes, then cover the tin with foil.
