Step-by-step instruction

Accordion Potato with Bacon is a delicious cheese and tomato dish that is easy to cook at home in the oven. For baking according to this photo recipe, you must definitely take large tubers of young potatoes, since it will be difficult to stuff small vegetables with strips of bacon. Vertical slicing will saturate the baked potatoes with bacon juice, making them juicy and soft.

We recommend using cream with a low fat content, it is permissible to replace them with low-fat sour cream or natural yogurt. Cheese should also be bought with a low fat content, as the dish is already satisfying enough thanks to the bacon.

Step 1

Prepare all the vegetables listed in the ingredient list and gather them in front of you on your work surface. Wash potatoes, herbs, tomatoes and carrots thoroughly. Peel the white part of the green onions from film and dirt. Peel the shallots and garlic.

Step 2

Peel the carrots and cut the vegetable and shallots into thin slices. Use a sharp knife to finely chop the parsley. Peel the potatoes and rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 3

Use a sharp knife to make deep cuts in the potatoes, but never cut them all the way. The incision should be made a few millimeters apart. Cut long strips of bacon in half or in thirds (depending on the size of the potato). Place a piece of bacon in the cuts made, as shown in the photo.

Step 4

Cut the garlic cloves into slices. Take a baking dish, using a silicone brush, brush with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Pour the cream, place in the center of the potato mold. Spread slices of carrot, garlic and onion evenly around the edges. Lay out the whole cherry tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper on top, and then sprinkle with herbs. Send the form into an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Grate the cheese on the shallow side of the grater. Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle with the cheese. Return the baking sheet to bake for another 10-15 minutes (until tender).

Delicious accordion potatoes with bacon are ready. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and rosemary sprigs. Do not forget to put other vegetables in a creamy sauce with the potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
