Step-by-step instruction
Bacon with vegetables is a tasty and easy to prepare dish that is baked in its own juice in the oven. To make a dish at home, you need to purchase already cut strips of bacon or a whole piece of smoked pork with thin layers of bacon. You will also need young potato tubers and all other vegetables listed in the list of ingredients. Young potatoes will bake faster than old ones, and their skins are thin enough to be edible.
You can use any spices in this recipe, based on personal taste preferences. You need to buy a multi-colored bell pepper not only to make the dish look more colorful, but also to diversify the taste. Red beans should be canned or pre-boiled. Leeks can be replaced with green leeks without compromising the taste of the finished dish.
Step 1
Wash the young potatoes thoroughly. It will bake in a peel, so you don't need to peel it. Rinse the leeks under running water, shave off excess moisture and cut into thin slices. Peel the garlic and chop the cloves into slices.

Peel the carrots, rinse under running water and cut into thin slices just like onions.

Cut a slice of smoked pork into thin strips using a sharp large knife.

Cut the bacon strips into small slices. If you want to feel the bacon more clearly in the finished dish, then make the pieces larger. And if you want it to look more like small crunchy cracklings, then cut it smaller.

Rinse red, green and yellow bell peppers under cold water, cut off the top with a tail and clean the center of the seeds.

Cut the bell peppers into approximately equal small pieces.

Cut the potatoes into 4 or 6 pieces, place in a deep bowl, add salt, pepper and any spices to taste. Pour in some vegetable oil, add chopped onion and garlic, and then mix thoroughly. Take a baking dish (you do not need to lubricate with anything) and shift the workpiece, evenly distributing it over the surface.

Send the form to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Then take out the baking sheet, mix the food, sprinkle with dill and return to bake for another 20 minutes (until tender).
If the potatoes begin to burn, but inside they remain raw, cover the form with foil and remove it 5 minutes before cooking so that there is a golden brown crust.
