Probably, many amateur runners, both beginners and experienced, dream of getting their ranks in running. This also applies to the fair sex, because the number of runners is also growing from year to year.
This material tells about the system of ranks and categories of the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification for Women and how you can get them.
How to get a rank or rank?
As a rule, world records are, for the most part, an unattainable goal for most people who started running in adulthood. At the same time, almost all fans of this sport can get sports categories by meeting the standards. The main thing is to take this matter seriously.
What are the official standards for the various categories of runners - graders, master candidates and masters - and how can athletes in general get them?
The unified system of sports titles and grades in Russia in all sports is determined by the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification (aka EVSK). This system is as follows:
Ranks:
- International Master of Sports of Russia (MSMK)
- Master of Sports of Russia (MS)
Discharges:
- Candidate for Master of Sports of Russia (CCM)
- 1 sports category
- 2 sports category
- 3 sports category
Both titles and categories are awarded after the athlete fulfills certain standards. However, if for professional athletes this status is very important for their career growth, then for amateur athletes passing the standards and receiving a rank or title is a line in the resume that pleases the eye and soul, as well as a reason to be proud of their success.
It should be noted that after you have been awarded a sports category, its effect lasts for two years. If you decide to extend the category, you can do this by participating in the competition again, or raise the bar by passing the standard for a higher sports category.
Here are the distances for runners who want to pass the standard for getting the category:
- 100 meters,
- 200 meters,
- 400 meters,
- 800 meters,
- 1000 meters,
- 1500 meters,
- 3000 meters,
- 5000 meters,
- 10000 meters,
- marathon.
It should be noted that all these distances, with the exception of the standard, must be covered at the stadium.
All currently valid standards are published on the official website of the Russian Athletics Federation. They are approved by the officials of the Federal Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
If you want to cover the indicated distances for a while, you cannot fail to note that the standards for obtaining a sports title or category are quite complex.
This is due to the fact that athletics, in particular, running competitions, is the oldest sport that was mandatory at the Olympics in ancient Greece. Therefore, this sport has developed over the centuries, honing both technology and training, during this time numerous athletes have appeared, showing high results.
That is why the currently existing running standards are sometimes the reason for the surprise of many ordinary citizens. Serious training is required to pass them.
All standards are taken at the stadium, the circle of which is four hundred meters. Except for marathons.
