What to run in winter for women

Running clothes in winter, of course, differs from the clothes in which you need to run in the warm season. At the same time, winter clothes for men and women also have differences, so today's article will be devoted separately to the question of how to dress girls for running in winter.

Head and neck

A hat should always be worn on the head. Even with weak frost while running, you can easily chill your head if you do not wear a hat. A headband will not work as a headdress, as there is still an open part that will sweat. And a wet head in winter, and even with the wind, which at least you will create while running, with a high degree of probability will be overcooled.

It is better to wear a thin hat, preferably with a fleece lining. You should not run in woolen hats in winter, as they absorb moisture and it turns out that you will run in a wet hat, which is tantamount to running completely without it if it starts to cool down.

You can also wear a balaclava or wrap a scarf around your face and neck to keep out the wind.

Torso

It is better to wear cotton shirts. One or even two, so that they absorb moisture well. Above you must wear a fleece jacket that does not let heat through. And put on a sports jacket on top that will protect from the wind.

You can also use thermal underwear, which will function as cotton T-shirts as a moisture collector and heat insulator, the function of which is performed by a jacket. In this case, it is still necessary to put on a windbreaker, even if you run in thermal underwear.

If the frost is below 20 degrees, it is best to use a sports jacket made of a material called "anorak", which has low thermal conductivity and excellent protective properties.

Legs

When running in winter sport pants for women should protect the wearer from hypothermia as well as possible, since even the slightest hypothermia in this area for women can affect their health. Therefore, depending on the weather, wear leggings under which you can wear tights. In temperatures below -15 degrees, wear two pants, the top of which should be well protected from the wind, and the bottom of which should absorb moisture and retain it.

Socks

Your best bet is to purchase a seamless, padded running socks. These socks cost three times the price of regular socks, but at the same time one pair is enough to run in any weather. If there is no opportunity to buy special socks, then get regular ones and run in two socks.

Arms

Be sure to wear gloves in cold weather. Gloves are best purchased thin fleece, although wool is also possible. Do not wear leather, as they do not allow water to pass through, and thus hands will freeze faster in them. And even more so, there is no point in wearing gloves with fur inside, since they are too massive, and when running, your hands will sweat, and moisture will have nowhere to go. As a result, you will run all the way with wet hands.
