Can I run after eating

Workouts should be planned in accordance with the daily regimen. However, this does not always work. It is not uncommon to have to eat just before training. So is it okay to run after eating?

Running immediately after eating is undesirable

Running immediately after eating will be extremely difficult. During digestion, the body sends most of the blood to the stomach. But if, during the digestion process, you start to use muscles, then the body will have to spend additional resources to supply them with a sufficient amount of blood. Thus, the shortage will be there and there. Therefore can there is paincaused by a lack of blood in the body in its individual organs.

What to do if there is little time left before jogging

You need to know that all food is divided into 4 categories: fast carbohydrates, slow carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Fast carbohydrates are absorbed very quickly. These include all types of sugars, honey. Therefore, if you drink sweet tea, or best of all, tea with honey, you will be able to run in just 15-20 minutes.

Slow carbs are the best source of energy for running. They are usually digested for about an hour and a half. But depending on the individual characteristics of a person, they can be digested from 1 hour to 3 times. Slow carbohydrates include bread, pasta, buckwheat, pearl barley, rice porridge.

Protein food, which includes some vegetables, dairy products, and some types of cereals, is digested for 2-3 hours. Therefore, if you have eaten such food, then running immediately will be extremely difficult, since the stomach will digest the food.

Fatty foods, which include sour cream, canned food, bacon, etc. are digested for more than 3 hours, and it is strongly discouraged to take it before jogging.

Thus, running immediately after eating is not worth it, as this will cause pain in the internal organs and the training will turn out to be ineffective. But at the same time, it is possible to replenish the supply of easily digestible carbohydrates in the body by taking fast carbohydrates, and start jogging within half an hour after eating.
