Today we will talk about the road to the "Sestrenkiye" dachas, or rather to the interfluve of the Panfentiev and Vikhlyantseva rivers, among the people of "Sestrenkin pants" and whether it is worth going there by bike.
This road, unlike most others around Kamyshin, does not abound in landscapes. Around there are continuous fields and summer cottages, and two small coniferous forests.
However, it has one big plus, which is also a minus. Almost 4 km in the direction of "Sisters" the road goes down, so you don't have to pedal at this moment. It turns out something like this: 2 km descent, then 300 meters a small ascent with a turn. And then along the dachas another 2 km of descent. And of course you need to understand that on the way back you will almost always have to go uphill. But it is worth noting that the ascent is not steep, and if you wish and a little physical preparation, you can climb it on a bicycle.
Another pleasant factor of this route is the beauty that awaits the traveler at the end of the path. Having approached the very bank of the river, you can arrange a small picnic in order to gain strength for the return journey.
Another not the most pleasant moment of this route is that at the exit from Kamyshin and before the start of the descent, the road consists entirely of deep loose sand. Not everyone, even a very well-trained athlete, will be able to ride on this sand. So be prepared to roll your bike for a while.
In general, it is worth going there at least once, even if you know "Sisters" like the back of your hand, but you have never ridden a bike there. Where else can you find a 4 km descent, within easy reach of the city. It is worth the effort to enjoy this descent on the way back. And the fresh river air that awaits you at the finish will give you a boost of vivacity and make you not think that the way back is going uphill.
There is also an option to bypass the sandy part of the road along the Volgograd highway. However, not everyone wants to cycle along the motorway, extending their journey by several kilometers.
