Running will help you strengthen both your bone and cardiovascular systems, as well as help clear your lungs and burn extra calories.
But do not forget about excessive loads - in this case, you can harm the body, up to and including injury. Even professionals in this sport suffer from chronic injuries such as knee and joint pain, muscle micro tears, etc. Especially it is harmful to run on asphalt, concrete and other hard surfaces, otherwise you run the risk of acquiring diseases such as arthritis, osteoarthritis. Therefore, if you really have to run on hard surfaces, then try to do it in soft and comfortable shoes. And don't forget to change your shoes on time - at least once a year. The same goes for the jogging suit in general. It should be lightweight, comfortable and not cramped. If you run in winter, be sure to use thermal underwear, and gloves with a cap and the use of a protective cream for the face and hands will not be superfluous.
Of course, you will not achieve fantastic results in one or two months of classes, but progress will be more than noticeable. Do not forget about running technique... Run at a slow pace at first, and then increase the intensity to a comfortable one. Before jogging, be sure to do warm-up (stretching the muscles of the lower torso).
And finally: increase the load gradually - by about ten percent with each session to avoid overload and injury.
